What you will learn


We start off by showing you the correct way to tear down your existing sofa and how to identify foam in good reusable condition.

Then its time to put your new sofa together as we demonstrate the rebuild of the arms and back of the sofa before showing you how to upholster each section.

You will pick up some great skills to produce high end pieces such as perfecting the front border and finessing your facings.

Your new sofa will be complete with a luxurious box seat cushion that we will show you how to measure, cut and sew.

This is one of the easier bottoms to apply as there are no legs to cut around.

We'll show you how to cut your cushions and how to give them bows so that they have a more luxurious finish.

13. How to Sew a Box Seat Cushion for a Sofa

This can be a tricky thing to master but we take you through each step in detail. You'll learn how to sew piping on to your cushion as well as adding a zip.
